The shortest description of my work is: I am a software developer. I've begun coding as a kid when I tried to understand how to make my C64 do things and never stopped since then. I've got a degree in computer science and have been working professionally in the software industry for over 20 years - always with a focus on realtime graphics software. I develop custom applications for your needs: The kiosk software for your trade fair boot, the quiz application for your event, the interactive installation for your museum, the software for your art project, you name it.

As a freelancer, I've been a member of Glare Studios. I later co-founded Glare Productions GmbH, where I am still working as a Software Engineer and Ventuz Operator. I've been a founding member of Grumpy Company, developing games like BellyBots.

Tools make life easier. I develop all kinds of tools you might need in your workflow. Image uploaders, sync tools, network tools, data converters; I'll write an adapter for an API you need to use, automation and so much more. I'm also offering several production-ready tools that will speed up your development process.

Computer Graphics

Realtime graphics, 2D/3D, animation, visual effects.

Ever since I started coding, my focus has been on computer graphics. I worked on computer games, car infotainment systems, I've developed gaphics APIs for embedded graphics units, I've written GPU shaders and quite a few visual effects plugins. Now, I develop interactive realtime applications for trade fairs, museums, and events. Always with 2D/3D graphics, animation, and visual effects being big parts of my work.

UX/UI Design

User interface design, user experience, corporate design integration.

As I mostly do custom interactive applications according to my client's corporate design, I also take care of creating a UI that matches with your design guidelines to transform the mostly static design into a living application with vivid animations. I also have a good understanding of UX, know the user's expectations and can create user-friendly applications.

Ventuz is a powerful tool for creating interactive realtime graphics applications, which is why I've been using it as my goto tool for over a decade. As one of the most experienced Ventuz developers, I'll use it for kiosk applications, trade show exhibits, application prototyping, entire shows, customized showroom systems, and much more. Everything Software

I use the right tool for the job - find it or code it.

I've already mentioned Ventuz as my main tool, however, I'll use the right tool for the job. I've been using many different third-party tools if it makes me reach the goal faster. If there is none, I'll code it myself. I mostly code in C# .NET, but again, I'll use what works best for the task at hand. I have experience with many programming languages and frameworks, including C++, Python, Lua, and more. I'll also build web pages, mobile applications for Android or iOS, and use script languages as needed.

Photography

High-quality project and event photography.

I am a passionate photographer and am lucky to have a job that allows me to combine my passion with my work, as photography often plays a role in my projects. Not only have I used cameras in many of my projects - for instance in several installations in the Leica Museum - I also offer documenting projects or taking high-quality pictures of your event, location or trade fair booth. Since I'm usually on-site for my projects anyway, you don't have to hire a separate photographer.

On-Site Support

On-site support for events, installations, and trade fairs.

I can be on-site for your project, whether it's a trade fair, an event, or an installation. I can set up the hardware, install the software, and make sure everything runs smoothly. If you need someone to be there during the event, I can also provide on-site support. I've been an on-site operator for many events, including live shows like press conferences, live streams or concerts.

Software runs on hardware, so there isn't one without the other. I can help you with hardware selection, setup, and configuration. Also, I can integrate hardware into your project. I've integrated everything: from web cams to professional DLSR/DSLM cameras, pressure-sensitive carpets, lighting, tracking devices, robot arms, custom hardware, and much more.
